Day four of our Queenstown trip saw us do The Queens Drive (Remarkables), following the route shown below.

Driving up the Remarkables, we parked by the ski-lifts and headed out. Outside of the ski season, there is a small entry fee for all vehicles.

The walk is steep in areas but compared to Walter Peak, it's a walk in the park.

The photos make the track look more precarious that it actually is; this said that would change if there was snow or ice.

Loving the peaks 😄

Start of the boulder fields

Be prepared for 90 minutes of rock hopping from this point.

Don't be tempted to decent too quickly from the boulder field else you might find yourself going down Wye Creek instead of going around to the backend of the Remarkables.

From here on there are lots of small tarns to explore.

Another short boulder field begins.

If you wish you could also reach the tarns directly by going up past Lake Alta and not doing The Queens Drive.

The end of another great day which was closed of with a rack of ribs at The Meat Preachers.
